November 6 @ 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
The Motherhole hosts this gathering.
It has three realms: Eros, Mother and Crone.
This is a Crone gathering.
Crone is not decline.
It is not wisdom theatre.
It is not graceful ageing.
Crone is what happens when your body changes faster than your identity can keep up.
When something biological reorganises you before you have language for it.
Theme of the gathering
Menopause is not just hot flashes.
It is the moment your body stops behaving in a way you recognise.
You forget words mid-sentence.
You lose your temper in ways that surprise you.
You wake at night and your thoughts won’t settle.
Your tolerance shrinks.
Your confidence flickers.
Your body feels unfamiliar in your own clothes.
You look competent.
But inside something feels unstable.
And beneath all of it is a quiet fear:
Is this temporary?
Or am I becoming someone I don’t know?
This gathering is for women in perimenopause or menopause who feel cognitively, emotionally, or physically altered and were never given real language for what that means.
Not the inspirational version.
The lived one.
What we will do
This is a structured, guided gathering. The focus is articulation.
We create a contained space where you can examine what is actually shifting in you.
You will write in response to precise prompts.
You will reflect before speaking but you will not be speaking your thoughts, you’ll be voicing those from another in the group. How? Come and find out! All you need to know is that it works, it’s very liberating and feels extremely safe, we promise!
We name what feels unstable.
We separate biology from identity.
We slow down the fear.
You do not need to be positive.
You do not need to be resilient.
You do not need to frame this as empowerment.
We begin with what is disorienting.
The focus of the evening
We explore aspects of menopause that are rarely spoken about directly:
• brain fog and fear of cognitive decline
• irritability that strains relationships
• anxiety that appears without history
• sleep disruption and emotional volatility
• the shift in sexual response
• the loss of previous coping strategies
• the question of whether this is “just hormones” or something more
This is not a medical seminar.
It is not a symptom checklist.
It is a space to understand how biological transition impacts identity.
Many high-functioning women feel quietly destabilised during this phase and are told to either manage it medically or celebrate it spiritually.
Neither approach addresses the psychological shock.
This gathering offers a place to name that shock without exaggerating it or minimising it.
The Motherhole
The Motherhole.
The first gate.
The original opening.
The Motherhole is the place where life arrives, where identity fractures, where something that was once yours becomes a passage for others.
And then, one day, becomes yours again.
The Motherhole gatherings are not events. They are encounters.
Spaces where women come to speak from inside what actually happened, and what is happening now.
Not to be fixed.
Not to be guided.
Not to be improved.
But to be heard.
Each Motherhole gathering follows a shared method.
Not because one method fits all, but because experience needs holding in order to move.
We work with words, bodies, breath, and sound.
Sometimes with silence.
Sometimes with meditation.
Sometimes through writing.
Sometimes through reading and voicing.
Sometimes through movement or stillness.
Not everything happens every time.
But always a shared speaking at the end.
Nothing is forced.
You can speak.
You can stay quiet.
You can pass.
Listening counts.
The structure holds the room so experience can move, without being explained, fixed, or turned into a performance.
The Motherhole has three realms
Eros
The realm of desire.
Of appetite.
Of what still wants you.
Sex. Rage. Hunger. Refusal.
The pull toward life that never went quiet.
Enter Eros if something in you is awake and restless.
Mother
The realm of cost.
Of responsibility.
Of what life required of you.
Birth. Care. Loss of self.
The moment you became a passage.
Enter Mother if your life split in two and never fully rejoined.
Crone
The realm of ownership.
Of what you no longer give away.
No more passage for life.
No more explanation.
Menopause. Authority. Clarity.
The moment you stop bleeding and start leading yourself.
