Ethics and Agency

Ethics and Agency in the Sensual Encyclopedia explores this field through sensuality, embodiment, human experience, and practical meaning.

Refusal

Refusal is the active expression that something is not chosen, not possible, or not acceptable. It can protect capacity and dignity, and it does not always require a long explanation.

Self-Advocacy

Self-advocacy is the practice of expressing needs, rights, limits, and choices while participating in decisions that affect one’s life. It can be individual, supported, or collective.

Accountability

Accountability is the practice of recognising impact, accepting responsibility, and changing action in response. It is more than apology and does not require the harmed person to provide comfort.

Dignity in Practice

Dignity in practice is the work of arranging conditions so people can retain agency, privacy, access, and respect in ordinary life. It is shown through action, not only language.

Reading engages the mind; listening allows the body to receive the same ideas through a different channel.

Both belong to the same body of work.

They simply meet you differently
