Shibari Open Practice Space

This is an open rope practice container.

No teacher. No instruction. Just space.

The Institute’s Shibari Open Practice is designed for those who already have some experience and want time, structure, and atmosphere to practice in a focused environment.

You bring your own ropes.

You bring your own dynamic.

You bring your own responsibility.

The room includes:

• Five suspension points

• Mattresses covering the entire floor

• A four-speaker surround system for immersive soundscapes

• Adjustable, dimmed lighting to shape the mood of the space

• A maximum of 10 participants to keep the container contained

This is not a class.

It is not a party.

It is a practice room.

You can come with a partner.

You can come alone and work on your own tying.

You can suspend. You can stay low.

You can move slowly. You can explore tension and stillness.

The focus is on presence, skill refinement, and respectful co-existence in a shared rope environment.

Everyone is expected to:

• Have prior basic rope knowledge

• Communicate clearly

• Practice consensually

• Take care of their own safety and aftercare

The atmosphere is intentional.

The sound is immersive.

The lights can soften.

The room holds you, but the work is yours.

A small group.

A serious practice space.

Rope, breath, structure, sensation.

About the author

The I Awake books are the integration of everything I’ve learned so far, lived and the raw, sensual magic of being human.

Together they map out the Sensual hero’s journey™.

It’s not just about awakening to a deeper awareness.

It’s about returning.

To the self. To the senses.

To the shared.

To enjoying ourselves together while we’re here.

I no longer choose between solitude and connection.
I live in the place where they kiss.
